What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I've always loved fairy tales, myths and legends. Growing up, Philip Pullman's series, His Dark Materials had such a lasting impact on me, but it wasn't until many, many years later that I sat down to write an entire book. Like His Dark Materials, my Daughter of the Phoenix series is also portal fantasy, but based on Earth and the parallel world of Ohinyan.
