What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I started putting the stories in my head to paper the day after I was hit by a truck. We were incredibly lucky to walk away from that accident and it gave me a serious kick I needed to get going.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Any character in the story has to be there as an integral part of what is happening. You will find, over the course of the four books in this series, that someone you think is a minor side character, really is not. Once I have a character in mind, I challenge myself on them. Is there any reason this character can't be a woman? What are this character's hobbies? What do they love or hate? I put them through the wringer a bit and then, knowing all of this, they make their own decisions as I write.
