How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
It’s always been the expected thing to do to have long and sweeping language in your writing but my style is really stark and bold! I’ll go into a description in a heart beat but it is going to throw you right into the scene of the story. I’m not going to pitch you a random back story out of no where! Your going to see, taste, hear and feel everything going on with the character and your not going to have to break out a dictionary to do it. My stories go at a fast pace all of the time so when your reading with me you can expect a roller coaster.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Write and develop your voice despite what any reviewer or bloggers jots down in a review. If you write with confidence and strength readers will enjoy your work because they know you wrote your heart out. Developing your voice will allow you to stand out among a sea of writers and really get your books in readers hands!
Janiera enjoys feeding her book addiction when she not writing. Writing is theraputic to her during her struggles with Fibromyalgia. Being unable to work a normal 9-5 is what encouraged her to write full time. She is also a book blogger at Beauty and Books where she mixes being a book nerd with keeping things chic. When not reading or writing she is freelance writing in the entertainment industry. When trying to relax she likes a huge yard sale on a Saturday morning, rainy days to read by and nacho cheese is her kryptonite. Soul Sisters is her debut novel. Feel free to visit her book blog where she loves reviewing books and doing author interview at Books & Beauty.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I tend to watch a lot of crime TV and some of the murders are so viscous and vile I wanted write a story about a victim getting revenge so badly. There are so many crimes that are never solved and I wanted to flesh out the fantasy of some vigilante justice in a safe and legal way.
