Terrified by changes she doesn’t understand and sensual nightmares she can’t control, Lexie desperately searches for ways to harness the power flowing through her veins. In a frantic bid for freedom, she enlists the help of an unusual guardian and an ancient weapon.

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
It’s simple really, when your’re writing paranormal or urban fantasy novels there aren’t any rules as far nature or the natural order of things. We are free to dream of whatever enters our mind. A friend, another author, called me the other day in a complete panic about her latest novel. She had killed off one of the main characters and then realized she kind of liked him. My answer was simple. Bring him back from the dead. That pretty much explains the freedom we have and why I love to write paranormal thrillers
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Make time to write. If you love it you can do it.
I was raised on a small farm in the Midwest, at a time when there were only 3 television stations. Oh the horror!
Growing up miles away from any other families gave me the opportunity to hone my imagination and plenty of time to read. To say that I had an active imagination is a huge understatement and I have always had a fascination for magic, fantasy and the paranormal.
After earning a bachelor degree in Criminology I married my college sweetheart and traded farm country for the sugar white beaches of the Florida Panhandle. Now I spend my time writing and taking care of my three children, two dogs, one guinea pig and my terrific husband.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I had a very vivid dream of one of my characters and I just had to write it down. It is still my favorite scene in the book.
